Right now I'm on Normal lifespan, so time is more precious, but if I'm on Long lifespan, I'll give them a chance to indulge themselves at times if they want (but, like, not too long. Ironically, I've actually been doing the opposite the past couple days, canceling times that my Sims want to autonomously go ask their partner for a 'good time' because I want them to focus on their skills and aspirations and all.
